Sustainable packaging is an important environmental considerations for packaging of CDs. Whilst the CD itself is non biodegradable there is no reason why packaging containing and protecting the CD should otherwise add to environmental pollution.  This is not just the vague “green movement” that many record companies have been trying to include over the past years. It is a solution that can reduce waste plastic by 75% when compared to the standard Jewel Case.
